About

Beata is an active member of the yoga community with 1000hours of training in Yoga, Trauma-Informed practices, Breath-work and Sound. She is a lecturer for Australian Yoga Academy’s Advanced Yoga Teacher Training. She runs Breath Circle, a mindful breathing organisation, hosts workshops in Yin and Sound healing and teaches courses on Yoga for Anxiety, utilising restorative movement, breath work and chanting as tools for healing and re-vitalising the body, mind and spirit.

Beata specialises in youth-mindfulness programs and has over ten years experience working in the community and non-for profit sector in Melbourne with at-risk youth. While working at Cubbies (Fitzroy Adventure Playground) she developed an intimate understanding of the challenges, trauma, stress and anxiety faced by young people and their families. This work together with her yoga teacher experience has lead her to establish Breath Circle, a health and wellbeing organisation, teaching mindful breathing in schools. It empowers students and teachers to use breath awareness to support mental health, as a tool for self-regulation.

Philosophy

When we start to feel a sense of belonging in the body, feeling at home in the body, then we can be more at home in the world. Everything we do, experience and relate to is happening through this beautifully complex, resilient body.

The more time and love we put into caring for the body, the more easeful our experience of the world. Our practice gives us the perfect opportunity to check in and offer love.

As soon as we direct our attention inward we get to see how we truly are in each moment. Sometimes it’s messy and gritty and wild, other times it’s soft and joyful and sweet.

The practice of yoga is about checking in, welcoming, and loving all of it, everything we observe, meeting ourselves and the whole wide world from that space of unconditional welcoming and love.
