A$795.00

This Trauma-Informed training offers a foundation for facilitating yoga, mindful movement, breath, meditation and somatic practices as tools for self-regulation and mental health support. Your facilitator, Beata Heymann, draws on 13 years’ of experience in working with culturally diverse communities, mainstream education systems and in clinical settings, to provide a well-rounded, practical and embodied approach to Trauma-Informed facilitation.

This training is open to all who are curious, yoga teachers, meditation teachers, embodiment facilitators and mental-health practitioners. There is no pre-requisite training for this course, all are welcome. Trauma-Informed yoga aims to make yoga accessible to all. In Trauma-Informed yoga, there are no expectations, therefore, it allows our true nature to unfold, giving us permission to explore ourselves and our relationship to others.

A regular, Trauma-Informed practice can provide a bridge away from living with anxiety, PTSD, and other mental health challenges, to a healthy baseline of contentment and joy. It is the ongoing nature of the practice that creates long-term balance in our nervous systems.

-       Leigh, Engineer

“The Trauma Informed Yoga training was even better than I anticipated. Beata is engaging, generous and full of helpful information, resources, stories and first hand experiences. There was the right amount of experiential material. She is respectful and empathic and I couldn’t recommend this training more highly. I will be able to put the concepts into good use personally and in my counselling work. Thank you Beata and the resourceful assistant.”

-       Lucinda, Social Worker, Parentline

Beata is an authentic, engaging presenter with a depth of knowledge and experience. The Trauma Informed Yoga course content was delivered clearly and thoughtfully with many opportunities for group discussion, questions and practical experiences. There was a great balance of theory and practice, and I particularly liked the focus and importance placed on developing our own self-care practices. Beata's teaching style is supportive and the feedback she gave after our teaching practice was helpful and encouraging. Beata's passion for trauma informed practices is evident in her inclusive delivery, and after completing this training I felt equipped and inspired to begin applying the tools I have learned in my teaching practice. Thank you Beata!

Her comprehensive and insightful nature showed her deep understanding of philosophy and methodology. What truly set Beata apart was her personal ability to connect with each student. She took the time to understand our individual goals, strengths, and challenges and tailored her guidance accordingly. Beata was always there to support us every step of the way. Beata's teaching style was both inspiring and empowering.
